Mike Forbess

I'm learning to play some blues and I love it. Finally, I can jam the blues with almost anyone, even at my age (71).

#music

It's a backing track with bass guitar, drums and keys, I do the guitars and vocals. Not bad for a 70 year old man with a life expectancy of maybe 3 years left because of Pulmonary Fibrosis. But like Jimi said, "That's alright, I still got my guitar!"

One that my wife and I wrote called "Waiting".

Oh, another great copy by CCR. It was pretty hard on this old man.

I did CCR's version.

It's a great song from a great time. See the video on YouTube.

Oh if it weren't for ZZTop, well, you know.

Paul and I on our first real project together. Good stuff.

Just 6 minutes of A minor 12 barre blues and a few bridges in C, F & G. The photo is a Texas Diamond Back Rattlesnake, looks like at least a 10 footer.

Ahhhhh, Pink Floyd from The Wall. That about covers it.

Check out the new one with a couple of edits and a new harmony to the bridge vocal.

I got'er done just now; Peaceful Easy Feeling by The Eagles. The photo I put on this one is of a young and old David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. He just happens to be my favorite guitarist in the universe from before to after.

This song by Third Day can change your life if you let it.

Man, how many times have you heard this: "It's [JUST ANOTHER DAY]"? "Same O', Same O", "one day at a time", "tomorrow will be better", "give it another day", "c'est la vie", "que sera, sera"...

Dead Flowers is on The Rolling Stones album "Sticky Fingers" released in 1971 and is one of my favorite Stones albums.

This song is from Jude Del Hierro and it's a good one. This is my own arrangement of Jude's song and I hope I did it justice.

This song is "Suzie Q", CCR's version, more or less.

Willie is among a group of people who've changed the world.

Everywhere I looked showed that "Day After Day" was Badfinger's best song, biggest hit, whatever you want to call it, it's a great song.

Gone too early was this band of brothers, though in their time on Earth, they made us some great songs. Thank you Guys, I love y'all.

Craziness off of the White Album.

The Great American Rock and Roll Band since the 60s.
CREDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL

I fell in love with this song, released on 7/14/58, by Conway Twitty. I was just a little boy and I still love this song enough to do it for you.

Honky Tonk Women by The Rolling Stones and by Mike Forbess today.

This song starts with a thunder storm and ends the same way, but it's got The Beatles song "Rain" in between and being performed for you today by Mike Forbess.

From the First Edition, 1968. What a great song.

Gotta love some Roy Orbison!

Actually, another great ROCK song from a time in the 60s. Ahhhh, I remember it well.

Love Is All Around by The Troggs. Remember "Wild Thing?" Same band.

Credence Clearwater Revival; just good ol' ROCK & ROLL! What more can a guy ask for?
