Throughout the new series, Davros was mentioned in the episode Dalek (2005) by the Ninth Doctor, who described him as a brilliant individual who ruled over his own domain. This reference was later reiterated by the Tenth Doctor in the episode Evolution of the Daleks (2007), where he spoke about the Daleks' creator believing that eliminating emotions enhanced strength.
