The Terminator is a science fiction action film about a cyborg assassin sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor, the future mother of John Connor, the leader of the human resistance against machines. Kyle Reese, a soldier from the future, is also sent back to protect Sarah. The film follows a cat-and-mouse chase as the Terminator (a T-800 model) relentlessly pursues Sarah while Reese tries to keep her safe.
